Pacific Rim Mobile Technologies Ltd.

Pacific Rim Mobile Technologies International distributes cellular network test equipment to leading equipment manufacturers and network operators around the world.

Our range of products includes the industry leading Air Protocol Analyzers and related software and support services. Developed by ABIT Corporation of Japan, these products are unique in their capabilities to validate communications protocols under different communication and handover environments. WCDMA, HSDPA and GSM technologies are fully supported.

The global mobile phone market is rapidly moving to “third generation” technology to provide high-speed data and video transmission. One of the most required facilities for third generation mobile phone manufacturers and operators is to provide seamless service to consumers who want to continue to use their existing second generation GSM products. Our Air Protocol Analyzer range of products provides the only solution for manufacturers and operators to seamlessly validate the network and user equipment under various communication protocols and handover environments. Our customers use our products for service validation and problem analysis of complicated communications protocols between different communications networks.

PRODUCT RANGE

GSM Air Protocol Analyzer (AP-5000)available April 2005

The AP-5000 analyzes air protocols and validates radio communications status without the need to physically connect to the radio base station or UE. The AP-5000 can be used on GSM networks. Also, when coupled with our "WCDMA Air Protocol Analyzer AP-4000" for third generation mobile phone (3GPP), it can be used for problem analysis and protocol validation of GSM - WCDMA dual mode communication services.

The AP-5000 features real-time display of Control Plane (C-Plane) and User Plane (U-Plane) data which can be saved for off-line analysis, making it a powerful tool for trouble shooting during product development as well as in field assessment.

The AP-5000 is the only protocol analysis tool available which analyzes complex intersystem handovers seamlessly in multi vendor environments. It works as standalone GSM air protocol analyzer as well as GSM-WCDMA intersystem handover protocol analyzer (in conjunction with the AP-4000.)
